dish opened July 17, 2002 under owners Penny Craver, Maggie McGee-Stubbs & Lawrence Stubbs. McGee-Stubbs and Craver operated the legendary punk rock club The Milestone from 1991-1994 and Craver opened Tremont Music Hall in 1995 which she continued to manage until 2004. Tired of the void of good Southern cuisine in the Plaza Midwood area, Penny enlisted the help of her former business partner, Mc-Gee Stubbs, and her husband, former Milestone and Tremont Music Hall bartender, Lawrence Stubbs to open dish. Years later dish has become a staple in the neighborhood for great cuisine in a comfortable atmosphere.
